Features & Advantages
An infloor wire management system is the solution to unsightly and often dangerous wires and cables. Cordeck’s Electrified Deck system creates a sustainable, safe, and secure environment, all while maintaining the integrity of the design.
LEED/Green Building
- Cordeck's Electrified Deck System is environmentally responsible - built to your specific design of the building so there is no waste. Cordeck's infloor wire management system is made with steel, the most recycled material on earth. Materials are packaged and shipped “bulk” so less packaging is required resulting in conservation of natural resources such as wood and paper, and strategic manufacturing locations are used to accommodate LEED freight requirements. Choosing Cordeck's Electrified Deck System can contribute to LEED credits.
Sustainable Design
- Cordeck's Electrified Deck System is in place for the life of the building. It is sustainable not only during construction, but once installation is complete, there is no need to add extra materials. No maintenance is required since the system is part of the structural steel framework, and is buried in the concrete below the finished floor.
Cost Competitive
- Cordeck's Electrified Deck System has a low life-cycle cost, including the expenditures required to install, maintain, and/or modify the system or workplace environment. An additional benefit for this system is that it does not require plenum rated cables, since the cables are installed within the cells of the metal deck. Economically, this is the best choice for your wire management system.
High Performance
- Wiring and cabling are given maximum protection since they are encased within the cellular metal deck and therefore protected against tampering. Concealing the system within the floor has a twofold advantage: 1) it preserves the aesthetics and 2) general purpose or non-plenum rated cables can be used. Power and Data wires can be accessed whenever and wherever they are needed without compromising an “Open Space” or open floor plan. Triple service preset provides access to all three services – power, data, phone - from one location. Our flush FloorPort™ activations exceed UL scrub water requirements for any floor type, e.g., tile, carpet or wood, and the covers are available in a variety of finishes and styles.
Marketability
- Electrical build-out becomes inexpensive, quick, easy and clean.
Worker productivity is increased, operating costs are lowered and asset value is increased. Green buildings provide healthier environmental conditions for occupants. Cordeck's Electrified Deck Systems are located under the floor, which contributes to improved indoor environmental air quality.
