Derby City Gaming officially opened in September, 2018 and is located on the site that previously housed Churchill Downs’ former Track Side and Sports Spectrum. The 85,000 square foot historical race wagering complex is the only licensed gaming facility in Louisville, KY.

In 2020 the organization approved a $13.5 million expansion to add a new outdoor patio to the south side of the facility which will accommodate up to 250 more historical racing machines.

Our flexible system allows us to work around the design teams vision for the space. With numerous activations spaced throughout the gaming floor, Derby City Gaming can easily achieve excellent casino floor optimization which is key in the gaming industry.
