With the knowledge of how well Cordeck’s In Floor Raceway System works in their main office building, it only made sense that EMC Insurance continue to use it in their new expansion. The 160,000-square foot, four story expansion brings the innovative wire management capability to EMC’s new 124-seat auditorium, conference spaces, office spaces on the third and fourth floor, and a leasable area on the first floor. Given the flexibility of the areas, the needed use can define the space.

Not only was Cordeck able to implement the standard system, but a radiant floor heating system was also integrated within the cellular raceway wire management for part of the building. By improving access capabilities, EMC laid the ground work for a seamless transition of office layouts for projected growth.

Cordeck’s In Floor Raceway System was chosen in part because of the maximum security provided. The tamper resistant routings are ideal given the company’s sensitive customer information. Having Cordeck’s in floor system already in place within the leasable area of the first floor, provides an incentive to tenants as it allows for flexible design for floor layouts.
